Happy first day of Fall! I'm welcoming the new sea

Happy first day of Fall! I'm welcoming the new season with this Mulled Apple Cider.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
It's warming and cozy and full of Fall flavours, here's the recipe:⁠⠀
⁠⠀
INGREDIENTS⁠⠀
6 cups apple cider or pure pressed apple juice⁠⠀
2 cinnamon sticks⁠⠀
2 star anise⁠⠀
1/4 tsp ground all-spice⁠⠀
1 inch piece of ginger, sliced⁠⠀
1 orange sliced⁠⠀
optional: 1/2 - 1 cup bourbon⁠⠀
Garnish: rosemary and cinnamon sticks⁠⠀
⁠⠀
DIRECTIONS⁠⠀
1. To a large pot add apple cider, cinnamon sticks, star anise, ground all-spice, sliced ginger and orange slices.⁠⠀
2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat and then turn low to simmer for 15 minutes.⁠⠀
3. Add in bourbon (1/2 - 1 cup depending on how much of a bourbon taste you'd like) and simmer for 10 more minutes.⁠⠀
If you're not using bourbon, just simmer for 5 more minutes.⁠⠀
4. Serve garnished with rosemary sprigs and cinnamon sticks.⁠⠀

I’m finishing up my case of peaches from BC and saying a little farewell to summer with this Peach Basil Wine Spritzer.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
It takes only 4 ingredients for this cocktail to come together and I love using my copper mugs to keep everything refreshing and cool (and they look really good too). Here's the recipe:⁠⠀
⁠⠀
INGREDIENTS⁠⠀
1/2 peach, chopped⁠⠀
3 large basil leaves⁠⠀
pinch sugar⁠⠀
4 oz white wine I love sauvignon blanc with this cocktail⁠⠀
2 oz sparkling water⁠⠀
⁠⠀
INSTRUCTIONS⁠⠀
Add peach pieces, basil leaves and a pinch of sugar to a mason jar. Using a wooden spoon or muddler, smash the peach pieces with basil a couple of times until the peaches start to release their juices.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Add in the white wine and stir a couple of times. Fill a moscow mule mug half-way with ice, pour the peach-white wine mixture into the mug and then top with sparkling water. Cheers & enjoy!⁠⠀
