Thank you Kristie for the lovely comment! I'm SO happy to hear you enjoyed the biscuits recipe! And I agree with you on the ingredients (always butter :)

Beautiful biscuits. I made them this morning and they looked beautiful and tasted buttery. I didn't add thyme but did add the cheddar cheese. Thank you for the recipe. In the past, I seen a recipe used shortening and powdered milk and I just can't do it. I need real ingredients so thank you!

In reply to <a href="https://www.cookinginmygenes.com/cheddar-thyme-biscuits/comment-page-1/#comment-428">Nikita Hall</a>.

Thanks Nikita! I think the recipe leans a little more to 'savoury tea biscuit' as this recipe doesn't rise quite as much as the American style you're thinking of. Though I promise the flavour is definitely there ;)

Looks so good! Let me get something straight though; are biscuits, as you've called them here, the same as the American style biscuits? Because they look to be what we call here in Aus & the UK scones, but a savoury version. It's just blowing my mind a little bit haha!
