Hot sauce and creamy dill dressing complement each other perfectly and bring this burger together.⁠ Plus turkey is SO easy to grill! #albertaturkey @albertaturkey⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Here's the recipe:⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Ingredients:⁠⠀
500g lean ground turkey⁠⠀
¼ cup hot sauce + more to drizzle⁠⠀
¼ tsp coarse salt⁠⠀
¼ tsp oregano⁠⠀
1 garlic clove, minced⁠⠀
¼ cup breadcrumbs⁠⠀
2 Tbsp chopped green onions⁠⠀
Oil, for grilling⁠⠀
4 burger buns, cut in half⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Dill Slaw:⁠⠀
½ cup greek yogurt⁠⠀
1 Tbsp lemon juice⁠⠀
½ tsp coarse salt⁠⠀
½ tsp garlic powder⁠⠀
2 Tbsp fresh dill (or 1 tsp dried dill)⁠⠀
1½ cups cabbage, chopped⁠⠀
½ cup carrots, grated⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Toppings:⁠⠀
Feta⁠⠀
Hot sauce⁠⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⁠⠀
Instructions:⁠⠀
1. To make dill slaw, stir together greek yogurt, lemon juice, salt, garlic powder & dill. Stir in chopped cabbage & grated carrots; set in the fridge until ready to serve.⁠⠀
2. To make burgers, combine ground turkey, hot sauce, coarse salt, oregano, minced garlic, breadcrumbs & green onions; mix gently with clean hands to combine.⁠⠀
3. Use ½ cup to scoop out 4 portions. Use your hands to form into patties about 1 inch thick.⁠⠀
4. Preheat grill to medium heat; oil the grill & cook burgers for 5-7 minutes per side, until internal temperature reaches 165F.⁠⠀
5. Top burgers with more hot sauce, dill slaw & feta. Enjoy!⁠⠀

Here's a fun summer Tropical Rum Slushie recipe for you to try this weekend friends! ⁠⠀
⁠⠀
INGREDIENTS⁠⠀
2 cups frozen mango⁠⠀
2 cups frozen pineapple⁠⠀
1 1/2 tbsp maple syrup, honey or agave syrup⁠⠀
juice of one lime⁠⠀
3/4 cup rum⁠⠀
ice⁠⠀
lime slices or mint to garnish⁠⠀
⁠⠀
INSTRUCTIONS⁠⠀
Add frozen mango, frozen pineapple, maple syrup, lime juice and rum to a blender. Blend on high until everything is combined. Add in a couple of ice cubes and blend to your desired slushie texture.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
If the mixture is too thick, add a bit of water & blend until desired consistency is reached. Garnish with lime or mint & enjoy!⁠ ⁠⠀

{new recipe} Haskap Berry No-Bake Cheesecake! If you've never tried Haskap Berries before, I'd definitely put them on your list. Their flavour is a mix of '3/4 blueberry, 1/4 raspberry, with undertones of black current and elderberry.' Sounds pretty delicious right!? SO I knew I had to make a summer dessert with them (recipe below)⁠⠀

Andrew @rosyfarms sent me some of these delightful berries to try & now I'm kind of hooked! His farm is located in Northern Alberta and I can't wait to see the haskap berry continue to be more available as the crop continues to grow. So, get inspired by this newer berry in the kitchen with this summery dessert:⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Makes 2 large or 4 small cheesecakes⁠⠀
Ingredients:⁠⠀
1 cup haskap berries ⁠⠀
2 tbsp sugar⁠⠀
½ tsp flour⁠⠀
1 tbsp water⁠⠀
10 graham crackers⁠⠀
2 tbsp butter⁠⠀
1 tbsp sugar⁠⠀
1 cup mascarpone cheese⁠⠀
2 tbsp milk or whipping cream⁠⠀
1 tsp lemon zest⁠⠀
1 1/2 tablespoon icing sugar⁠⠀
Instructions:⁠⠀
1. In a small pot or pan, heat haskaps with sugar, flour and water over medium heat until bubbling. Turn to medium-low (still simmering) and cook for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.⁠⠀
2. In a small bowl, crush graham crackers into small pieces and then add butter and sugar. Stir together and set aside.⁠⠀
3. In one more bowl, stir together mascarpone cheese with milk, sugar and lemon zest until well combined.⁠⠀
4. To make each cheesecake, layer how you see fit between 2 large cups or 4 smaller cups. Or, use this as guidance: Start by layering graham cracker crumbs followed by: mascarpone cheese mixture, haskap berries, more graham cracker crumbs, mascarpone cheese mixture, haskap berries and topped with more graham crumbs if desired.
