I'm excited to pull out my Fall Cocktail recipes like this Kombucha Cranberry Bourbon Smash. It's perfect to serve guests or to just enjoy at home, is anyone doing a zoom happy hour this weekend?⁠⠀

If you are, here's the recipe friends:⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Recipe:⁠⠀
⁠⠀
INGREDIENTS⁠⠀
10-12 frozen cranberries (Just defrost the frozen cranberries first by rinsing under cold water until defrosted)⁠⠀
1 tbsp honey⁠⠀
2 oz bourbon⁠⠀
4 oz ginger kombucha⁠
splash of cranberry juice⁠⠀
thyme sprigs for garnish⁠⠀
⁠⠀
INSTRUCTIONS⁠⠀
In a mason jar or cocktail shaker, add the cranberries and honey. Smash together with a muddler, wooden spoon or fork until the cranberries release their juices.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Add bourbon and shake well a couple of times until combined.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Pour into a glass and top with ginger kombucha and a splash of cranberry juice for that rosy colour.⁠⠀
⁠⠀
Garnish with thyme sprig and enjoy!⁠⠀

There’s nothing I love more than cracking open a fresh, new cookbook to cook from! So when I received the Bite Me Balance cookbook by @bitememore , I couldn’t wait to try something new.

There are so many recipes in this book that I want to make but I was drawn to the Sweet Potato & Carrot Soup for a quick, delicious (& cozy) weeknight dinner! Plus, just look at that gorgeous colour!

I looooove soup this time of year and this luscious, creamy soup hit all the right notes for me. Filled with a serious hit of veggies with sweet potatoes & carrots, the flavours just pop! And, I loooove the crunch from the crispy kale topping for added texture - so creative.

With a similar philosophy to how I generally eat, ‘75% healthy and 25% butter,’ I know I’ll be making more recipes from this book soon!

On the weekend I love to treat myself to a fancier cocktail to enjoy while making dinner and that’s where this Pomegranate-Rosemary Vodka Sparkler comes in.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A bit more on the herbaceous and less sweet side of things, this cocktail is lovely to sip before dinner or with appetizers. The subtle sweetness from the winter wheat in @northernkeepvodka goes so divinely with the rosemary simple syrup. Then, topped with a sparkly rosemary garnish, you’re set for the festive season to come.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ingredients - Makes 1 cocktail:
0.5 oz rosemary simple syrup
4 oz pomegranate juice
1.5 oz Northern Keep vodka
Ice
Prosecco or sparkling water, for topping (about 1-2oz)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Rosemary Simple Syrup:
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup water
1 sprig fresh rosemary
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sparkly Rosemary Garnish:
Sugar
Rosemary sprigs
Water
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Instructions:
1. To make a sparkly rosemary garnish simply run a rosemary sprig under a bit of water. Then, roll in sugar and set aside to dry.
2. In a small saucepan over medium-high heat, combine sugar and water. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Add in the rosemary sprig, stir and remove from heat. Let infuse for 5-10 minutes until desired taste is reached and then remove the rosemary sprig.
3. To a cocktail shaker add rosemary simple syrup, pomegranate juice, Northern Keep Vodka and a handful of ice and shake for about 20-30 seconds until the cocktail shaker is frosty.
4. Strain into a cocktail glass and top with prosecco. Garnish with a sparkly rosemary sprig. Cheers & enjoy!⠀⠀⠀
