Escape to the tropics with this Green Tropical Smoothie!
Filled with tropical flavours like mango and coconut, this smoothie does not disappoint.
Grab your blender and make this for your next breakfast or snack!I like to have a bunch of smoothies in my repertoire, especially with a variety of flavours.
So why a green tropical smoothie?! I love tropical flavours in general like pineapple and mango. But, I’m always looking for a way to get in those extra greens and smoothies are the best vessel.
What ingredients make the best green smoothie
Frozen mango or pineapple: The combo of frozen mango and pineapple kicks up the tropical flavours but feel free to just use one or the other.
Banana: Adds a bit of creaminess to the smoothie and is a classic ingredient for tropical flavours.
Spinach (or other leafy greens): Of course you need greens in a green smoothie! I like to use spinach
Lime: Lime juice adds a touch of freshness that every green smoothie recipe needs.
Unsweetened coconut: Shredded unsweetened coconut brings the yummy tropical flavours up a notch but feel free to use sweetened coconut if that is what you have available.
Coconut milk: Coconut milk from a carton works best (easier than from a can) but almond milk or coconut water would work too.
