We’re officially into the Fall season so it’s time to cozy up with more seasonal recipes.
There are so many recipes to make in October, it’s hard to choose!
From soups to cozy baked goods and breakfasts, let’s chat about them all.
This has to be one of my absolute favourite seasons; the cool, crisp air; the leaves changing colour; the cozy meals and drinks; I love it all.
By now you know I love to cook and bake seasonally so October is definitely soup and baking season for me! And even better is using seasonal produce for soups like my Roasted Butternut Squash and Apple Soup. Or, anything baked with apple or pears in it and I’m set. These Apple Pie Bars from Ambitious Kitchen look pretty epic and are definitely on my must-make list.
I gravitate towards all the cozy meals so I’m re-releasing my Fall-Winter e-Cookbook because the Cheesy Shells and One Pan Chicken & Mushrooms are perfect for this season. Get your copy of this cookbook by clicking here!
It really is the perfect season to get out your favourite cookbook and use the cooler days or nights to cook a comforting dish. I love Half Baked Harvest’s cookbooks because she has some of the most flavourful comfort food. And, if you’ve never made an Ina Garten AKA Barefoot Contessa recipe, her cookbooks have many classic recipes you’ll keep coming back to. I especially love her brunch recipes!
So, what other recipes are there to make in October?
Apples – Apple Cinnamon Baked Oatmeal
Broccoli – Healthyish Broccoli Cheddar Soup
Brussels Sprouts – Brussels Sprouts and Kale Salad
Pears – Spiced Pear Baked French Toast
Swiss Chard – Swiss Chard, Goat Cheese & Leek Frittata
Tomatoes – Quick White Beans with Tomatoes and Kale
Until the next cooking adventure,
Jess
